Jenny W. : My name is Jenny Wei. I am currently in the Financial Management program at Liberty. Prior to Liberty, I was at U Mass Amherst, and I graduated about a year and a half ago. And I’ve been here since. I was an intern the summer of 2016. And I worked with a manager in business insurance. And I think the biggest thing that made me decide to come back was all the exposure that I got, not to management, but also to senior management, all the projects that I got to work on, and really, the level of trust that my manager put in me in order to deliver all these projects.
In my time as an F&P my first role was an FP&A, where I was in planning and reporting. Now I’m in a systems finance role. And my next rotation is going to be in financial accounting. So, totally different areas of finance, and I’m getting exposure to all of that within two years.
The culture of Liberty is definitely very family-oriented and very, very friendly. And that was one of the biggest things that drew me to Liberty. When I came here, I realized it’s actually a very innovative industry. The environment at Liberty, like, I knew was very close-knit, I knew was very modern. But I never expected to find a family. Yeah, I think I never expected to find that at work.
