Megan K.: I graduated from Brown University in 2017. And so I’ve been here for a little over a year and a half now. And so I was in the analyst development program for one year, and then placed out of that program in the end of June. And so I’ve been on my current team now for almost five, six months now.
So the analyst development program is a one-year-long development program here at Liberty. And so it’s structured into two major parts, I’d say. The first three months when you join the analyst development program, then you’re just in training. And then you have three three-month rotations across different functions and across different teams. And then after the one year, then you place onto a team full-time. And it’s a team that normally works a lot with the analyst development program. So a lot of times, you might know the hiring managers and you might already have a good understanding of what that team does.
My three rotations were, first I was in Solaria Labs, which is Liberty Mutual’s innovation hub. My second rotation was in finance on the east-west analytics team. And then my third rotation was on the customer advocacy organization. I think that it’s really cool to know that the little changes I’m making, the customer is actually seeing that. The sales reps that we’re interacting with are actually able to see that. So I think that’s the most satisfying part of my job.
You start day one of your job with a network. And now that we’ve all placed out onto separate teams, then I know if I have a question about claims, I can ask my friends that are there, and they would have a way better answer than if I was trying to find somebody by myself. So I think the fact that for development programs, you have this network from day one, it really sets you up for success.
