Liberty Mutual has consistently earned the Military Friendly® Employer designation since 2017. This is determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees. Each year, the list of Military Friendly® Employers is provided to service members and their families, helping them discover the best post-military career opportunities available.
Liberty Mutual was of over one hundred companies recognized by Military Times as Best for Vets in 2021, as well as in 2020. The annual survey is a highly respected analysis of a company’s efforts to connect with veterans and provide an environment for success. Rankings are based on a voluntary survey seeking detailed information on individual company policies and practices related to: veteran recruitment and retention, support for translation of military skills to civilian credentials, support for military spouse employment and accommodations for members of the National Guard and reserves.
Liberty Mutual has also provided $300,000 to Community Rowing since 2013, an organization that offers free programs to veterans.
Liberty Mutual Foundation has made significant contributions to military causes including a $200,000 grant to Hope for the Warriors – a non-profit committed to supporting veterans and military families and a $50,000 grant to No One Left Behind – a nationwide association dedicated to supporting allies and interpreters from Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition, Liberty Mutual employees have been donating to veterans’ organizations across the country since 2008, and combined with the company’s matched contributions, these make a significant impact. To learn more about Liberty Mutual’s Philanthropic efforts, visit our corporate site.
