Internships
As a Sales intern, you’ll join an extensive network of Liberty Mutual professionals who cultivate deep product knowledge, relational acumen, and prospecting skills—the qualities that make resumes dazzle. Some of our most successful interns even move into full-time positions at Liberty Mutual.
Activities include:
- Learning how to build and develop client relationships in local communities to promote Auto, Home, and Life insurance products
- Developing prospecting skills and product knowledge in one of our many offices across the country
- Enhancing sales and influencing skills, and fine-tuning business acumen
- Working individually, or as part of a team, on projects that foster professional development
Entry-level opportunities
As a new team member, you’ll become part of a collaborative community. You’ll receive sponsorship for the licensing exam, structured industry and sales training, mentorship and more. In as little as four months, you’ll be ready to sell and pursue generous reward opportunities.
Program includes:
- Coaching from expert sales colleagues
- Earning potential inclusive of base salary, uncapped commission, and bonus structure
- Development and maintenance of client relationships using consultative selling techniques
- Participation in incentive programs and contests designed to support achievement of product goals
Intern competitions
Compete for prizes with your peers and stretch yourself to achieve goals through healthy competitions that hone cold-calling skills, as well as the ability to generate leads and flexibly handle customer objections. Some Liberty Mutual offices even hold weekly competitions, developing a point system that rewards excellence in selling-related tasks.
On-site visits
Hands-on experience goes a long way in an internship, so we provide ample opportunities for Field Sales interns to participate in on-site visits with seasoned reps. These events help interns learn how to market our products, develop prospecting skills, and build robust customer engagement skills. Interns also enhance their strategic thinking skills by helping plan these visits.
